Hi, My name is Deanna, however I normally go by Dee. I have been a Personal Trainer since November 2013 and I have loved the journey of being a business owner and Fitpreneur. I pulled my hamstring in October 2019 and then had a microdiscectomy in November 2019. I was not able to do much for those winter months, where I usually get SAD. That year was pretty bad. Luckily, I have the mindset of a Tigress (it took practice) and I did whatever I could to get back into shape.

I am so grateful to spend each work day helping people of all ages gain confidence in their abilities and improve their movement skills. After being in 6 car accidents, injuries from an active lifestyle (with little movement knowledge at the time), and severe nerve pain after an oral surgery I am no stranger to pain and how it can impact a person's life. One of the first steps to building a better quality of life could be managing or getting rid of your pain problems. Pain often is seen as a signal to stop. This is true in the short term but long term pain should be seen as a signal to do something different or to improve the function of your movement systems. I became so interested in figuring out how movement works and how to fix the movement issues causing my pain problems that I made it my career and became a personal trainer. Through a lot of hard work, study, and exploration I found the tools I needed to improve movement skills and reduce pain for myself and my clients. Through specific practice of visual skills, balance skills, and strengthening work, we can not only, help with our functional movement abilities, but with our daily life needs for pain free comfortable movement. I am now enjoying trying new things and exploring sports and athletics I wasn't capable of before when I was in pain. I am doing so with confidence that I know how to move my body well and pain free. Through building your movement skills your body can become capable of things you hadn't even considered before. Understanding how your body works and knowing you have control of your movement can increase your confidence, and make daily life easier. No matter your age you can start practicing your skills, feeling and moving better. It would be my pleasure to be your functional movement and pain relief instructor, as you explore your movement skills and leave your pain and stiffness behind.Additional info on years of experience and education below.
